No juicer needed!
Juicing is a great way to get your greens. But not everyone has or wants to invest in a juicer, and store bought juice can be cost prohibitive and frankly, a waste of plastic.
I made this recipe for my friend Tom who swapped out his juicer for a NutriBullet to free up valuable NYC kitchen space.
I don't have a NutriBullet, so I made it in my regular blender... Adapting it to the smaller pulse blender required some tweaks that Tom voluntarily test-kitchened and remedied.
So here's Easy Summer Green Juice two ways!
Regular Blender Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cucumber
1 apple (any kind you like, I tend to use granny because I like things tart)
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
2 handfuls spinach
1/2 C water
a few ice cubes
Directions:
Blend ingredients
Serve as is if you like more of a smoothie texture, or put through mesh strainer if you like more of a juice texture
NutriBullet Version
Ingredients:
1 peeled apple
1/3 peeled cucumber
handful of spinach
half a lemon's juice
water as needed
Directions:
press the blend button
Stick in the freezer to chill
